1. I already paid the hospital bill, why am I receiving a bill from CKR? Top
  The charge received from the hospital was for the technical aspect of the procedure. The technical aspect of the procedure would be the charge for the facility, equipment and technicians. The bill from Central Kentucky Radiology is for the professional aspect of the procedure. The professional aspect of the procedure is for the doctor (Radiologist) who interprets the image from the scan.

2. I received financial assistance from the hospital does CKR offer assistance? Top
  Yes! We understand that sometimes patients are faced with medical bills at a time when they simply cannot afford them. Our policy is that if you received assistance from the hospital we will match whatever assistance they extended to you. In order to match the hospitalís offer of assistance we simply need a copy of the letter or card you received from the hospital stating that assistance was received. A copy may be mailed with your statement or faxed to our office. A copay may be assessed for assistance processing. If your assistance request at the hospital is pending approval please contact our office so that your account may be noted of the pending decision regarding your application for assistance. It is very important that you contact our office as soon as possible regarding assistance. We are eager to assist you when your account is active with us but if your account goes to collections we will be unable to extend assistance to you!

3. I did not qualify for assistance from the hospital but I do not have insurance, does CKR offer assistance outside of the hospital? Top
  Yes! We understand that some patients do not qualify for assistance at the hospital but due to the number of bills they are receiving and lack of insurance coverage they can not afford the full amount of their bill. We do offer a discount for private pay patients who did not qualify for assistance at the hospital. Please call our office to request assistance in this circumstance. It is very important that you contact our office as soon as possible regarding assistance. We are eager to assist you when your account is active with us but if your account goes to collections we will be unable to extend assistance to you!

4. May I make payments on my balance due to CKR? Top
  Yes! Payment plans may be set up by contacting our office to request a payment option.

  Yes! There are several different reasons you may have received a bill when you have insurance. It is important to call our office if you feel there should not be a balance on your account. We are happy to work with you and your insurance company to settle the account.

6. Can I make a credit card payment over the phone? Top
  Yes! Please contact our office and a representative would be happy to take your payment over the phone. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for phone payments and there is no charge for making a payment by phone.

  Not at this time. We are happy to take your credit card payments over the phone or welcome you to fill out and return the credit card payment portion of your statement.
